Job Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with the organization’s goals.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and forecast financial performance.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team based on financial analysis and projections.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Present financial reports to the board of directors, executive team, and stakeholders.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management strategies.
- Ensure the organization has adequate insurance coverage and internal controls.
- Monitor and manage the organization’s cash flow and liquidity.
- Oversee investment activities and ensure the organization’s investments align with its risk tolerance and goals.
- Manage relationships with investors, banks, and other financial institutions.
- Lead fundraising efforts, including securing loans, grants, and equity financing.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and drive operational efficiency across the organization.
- Monitor and control departmental expenditures to stay within budget.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including tax laws
- Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring findings are addressed and corrective actions are implemented
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and their impact on the organization.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and technology.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
